    Nick is a lifelong Knoxvillian. He grew up on Gibbs road in the heart of Fountain City. He graduated from Central High School in 1973 and from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in 1977.

    Nick PavlisHe spent the first 26 years of his career in his family business managing a wholesale gourmet food distributor. Nick is currently employed at Charter Communications as the Director of Government and Media Relations. In this capacity he serves as the liaison between state, local and media outlets for 260 cities and counties throughout the states of Tennessee and Louisiana.

    Nick has been active in leadership roles in the City of Knoxville his entire adult life.

    Some of his notable leadership roles have included:

    • Board member Fountain City Town Hall
    • Board of Directors Downtown YMCA
    • Board member Knoxville Tourism and Sport Corporation
    • 1997 Graduate of Leadership Knoxville
    • Metropolitan Planning Commissioner 2007-2009
    • City Councilman At-Large, 1995-2003

    Nick and his wife Joy enjoy working in their yard, cycling, golfing, and raising their two Brittany Spaniels, and Newfoundland.
