Downtown Knoxville

Directions: Take the James White Parkway exit off of I-40; then take the Summit Hill exit; turn left onto Summit Hill; at the second red light the road turns into Dandridge; make first right first going through the red light; park will be on the right side of the road.

The Neyland Greenway connects across First Creek to Gateway Center and Volunteer Landing. When the James White Greenway is constructed the bridge on First Creek will be the boundary between the two greenways. Neyland Greenway begins at the bridge over First Creek and continues west parallel to the Tennessee River. The greenway crosses under Neyland Drive at Second Creek to continue along the north side to the University of Tennessee's Thompson-Boling Sports Arena, Neyland Stadium and then crosses to the south side at Volunteer Boulevard.

The greenway continues alongside the Tennessee River to pass UT's Soccer Complex and then crosses under Neyland again at Third Creek and continues on through the UT Experimental Garden and the UT Veterinary School to cross with the light at Center Drive. The greenway continues up to near the parking lot at the UT Faculty Club. The city has plans to connect again across Neyland through the wooded area in the median back to Third Creek. This work will be done in conjunction with TDOT's Alcoa Highway Project. The planned Knox Blount Greenway will be connected to the Neyland Greenway with a 12 foot wide pedestrian bridge that is planned to be built along the east side of the Buck Karnes Bridge. The Knox Blount Greenway is a partnership between the City of Knoxville, Knox County, The University of Tennessee, and TVA and this greenway will be constructed through the TDOT's ISTEA Enhancement Funding in conjunction with TDOT's Alcoa Highway Project.

Neyland Greenway is also part of the City's CrossKnox 15k Race, which runs from Haley Heritage Square in East Knoxville all the way to Bearden Elementary School in West Knoxville.
