Will Skelton Greenway

Directions: Heading south on Gay Street bridge, veer left through traffic light onto Sevier Avenue. Turn left onto Island Home Avenue. Continue straight into Island Home neighborhood (you’ll see pillars) onto Maplewood. Continue straight onto Spence Place. Veer left through four-way stop. Turn left onto Estelle Circle.

The Will Skelton Greenway begins at Island Home Park, runs through Ijams Nature Center and ends at the 300-acre Wildlife Management Area. This is a beautiful greenway located in a very natural setting with panoramic views of the Tennessee River from a variety of perspectives. From the fourth Saturday in August through the end of February, hunters with firearms may be encountered in the area. Bicycle use off of the greenway is prohibited during hunting season.
