Knox County Seniors can now go
wherever KAT goes--for free!
Seniors Freedom is a unique partnership between
Knoxville Area Transit
and Knox County Government
that makes it easier than ever for seniors
to ride public transit.

The Fare-Free for Seniors program is open
to any individual 65 years of age or over.

How do I sign up?
There are no forms to fill out, no phone calls to make--all you need is your
Medicare card and an ID (driver's license or state identification card).
OR--you can get a Seniors Freedom ID Card; click here for details

Just board a bus, show the operator your ID and Medicare card (or Senior Freedom ID),
then sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!

KAT's regular bus service is the perfect way to get to the grocery store,
doctor's offices, restaurants,
or almost anywhere else you want to go.

Need help figuring out which bus to ride?
You can call 637-3000--tell them where you are starting from,
where you want to go, and when you want to get there,
and they'll help you plan your whole trip!

With gas prices climbing to record highs, there is more reason than ever to park the car and take the bus!
