ISO RATINGS FOR INSURANCE

Every homeowner or business pays a premium to their insurance carrier for fire insurance based on his/her ISO rating. The ISO rating for fire insurance protection can range from 1 to a 10, with 10 being little or no protection. Currently, the City of Knoxville enjoys a public fire rating of Class 3. Commercial fire ratings are established on an individual basis by ISO.
