YOUTH ACADEMY
The 2010 Youth Academy is a five day academy offered free of charge to Knoxville area middle school students. The Youth Academy seeks to build positive relationships between officers and youth through an outdoor, adventure-based learning experience. Officers and youth work together as a team in numerous outdoor activities that may include several miles of hiking, biking and climbing. Students and staff will also participate in a community service project helping other Knoxvillians in need. This is not a camp for couch potatoes!
The 2010 Academy will run from June 7 through 11. Applicants must be students enrolled in grade 6 through 8 during the 2009 – 2010 school year. Each session is limited to 20 students.
