From East Knoxville: Take I-40 Westbound to exit #389 (Hall of Fame Drive). Turn left onto Hall of Fame Drive. At the first light, turn right onto Gill Ave. At the street's end turn right onto Broadway. The Craft Center will be 1/8 of a mile on the left.

ON EXHIBIT - 2010

The Knoxville Arts & Crafts Center is pleased to host an exhibit of the imaginative artwork of Marianne P. Smith. Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, Marianne Page Smith is an illustrator specializing in whimsical animal scenes, Christian themes, and children's projects. Her work has appeared in children's books, murals and her own line of greeting cards. She has a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the University of Tennessee. Marianne's artwork will be on display through September 30, 2010.

From the Center,

It’s time to start thinking about the season of giving. In my opinion, there’s nothing better than an unique piece of artwork to give or receive as a gift. Think of the time, creative labor, and love that has been given to an original piece of art. Now is the perfect time to start designing your own unique gifts to give to those special people in your life. Relax, have fun and be inspired by the staff and environment at the Knoxville Arts and Fine Crafts Center.

Mark you calendar for two upcoming exhibits you won’t want to miss. We are pleased to welcome Mari Anne Smith as our featured artist during the months of July-September. Mari Anne has illustrated and written several children’s books and works in a wide variety of different medias. Colored pencils, watercolor and pen and ink will be the focus of her exhibit.

Evan Hawkins will be our featured artist from October-December. Evan is also a new instructor with our facility and will be teaching pastel portraits. His communication skills, enthusiasm and talent make him a wonderful addition to our staff.

When it comes to fitness and fun, we offer something for everyone to enjoy! City employees, show us your I.D. and receive $10.00 off your next eight-week session!

HOW TO REGISTER
Call the Knoxville Arts and Fine Crafts Center
at 865-523-1401. Registration may be made
by phone or in person at the craft center. Payments are due at the time of registration or within five working days if registering by phone. Please note that no student's space will be held without full payment of all class fees. Cash or checks are accepted, no credit cards please.

CANCELLATION/ REFUND POLICY
We reserve the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment. Fees are 100% refundable if the class is canceled by Knoxville Arts and Fine Crafts Center, or if a student drops a course ten days prior to the class beginning. No refunds are given after that time.

ART BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Call us to schedule your next unique birthday party. We will provide the decorations, balloons, personalized birthday banner and craft of your choice. You bring the refreshments and we do the rest. Call several weeks in advance to schedule.

SCOUT BADGE WORKSHOP
Scout leaders call us to schedule your badge workshop. We provide everything your students will need to obtain their next badge. Sit back relax and enjoy watching your troop as we educate in a fun way at the craft center.

ADULT PARTIES
Birthday parties, small groups, going away parties, church or office get togethers are always more fun at the craft center. Following breakfast or dinner, stop by for a private class. We feature classes in sculpture with clay, tile making, adult jewelry workshops and more! We plan the class around your schedule, allowing for a unique time with special friends. Call early to book your private party.

Dance and Fitness Parties
For a fun and uniquely different party join us at the craft center. We offer one-hour private parties in ballet, jazz, creative movement, belly dancing, yoga, or our new “body grooves” dance classes. Gentle yoga is also available complete with aromatherapy candles and soothing sounds. Call several weeks in advanced to book your group function or party.
