Ages 3-5, Pre-Ballet/Tap Four sessions
Tuesday, Aug. 3-Oct. 5 and
Tuesday, Oct. 12-Dec. 14, 3:45-4:30 p.m., or
Saturdays Aug. 8-Oct. 9 & Oct. 16-Dec. 18 10:00-10:45 a.m., $90.00/session
Instructor: Sandy Larson
These ten-week classes are designed to instill in preschoolers the joy of dance as an art form. Students will learn proper technique, dance terms, enhance movement and develop rhythm, motor skills, attention development and coordination. Our pre-ballet classes are theme based with each class centered around popular ballets and children’s favorites. Students should wear leotards.

Ages 3-5,w/ Parent Tumbleweeds Two sessions
Friday, Oct. 1, 8 & 15 or Friday, Nov. 5, 12 & 19
10:00-10:45 a.m., $24.00
Instructor: Mike Bensey
Preschoolers will hop, leap, jump and dance to the sound of playful music. Learning patterns, stretching and identifying colors will all be combined during this three-week creative movement class. Bring your preschoolers and let their imagination soar as they dance to the commands given by dance specialist and experienced ballet enthusiast Mike Bensey. Mike has danced with The Appalachian Ballet Company and taught children with Knoxville Parks and Recreation for more than 20 years.

Ages 4-6, w/ parent Children’s Book Inspired Paintings
Friday, Sept. 24
10:00-11:15 a.m., $14.00
Instructor : Lesley Eaton
Lesley will begin the class by reading the well-known book A Very Hungry Caterpillar, by Eric Carle. Next, the children will create simple projects inspired by the images and characters introduced from the book. A variety of fun and unique crafts will be made so students can remember their special day at the craft center.

Ages 4-6, Ghost, Pumpkins and Treats Oh My
Saturday, October 23
10:00-11:15 a.m., $14.00
Instructor: Elise Murphy
Join us at the craft center for a growling good time. Using a variety of Halloween shaped stamps and acrylic paints, students will design their own fun canvas bags for carrying their sweet treats. Mini treat bags will also be presented to the children following their class, complete with spider rings!

Ages 4-6, w/ parent Visions of Sugar Plums
Saturday, Dec.4
10:00-11:15 a.m., $14.00
Instructor: Elise Murphy
Students and parents will make matching ornaments to hang on the family tree. Using a variety of colored tissue paper, metallic ribbons, lots of glitz and glimmer these ornaments will be the focal point of the tree. Following the class enjoy Christmas cookies and punch compliments of the craft center.
